Plasma cutter PATON StandardCUT-70 400V
The Paton StandardCUT-70 inverter plasma cutter is designed for the manual cutting of metals and alloys by means of plasma arc in an air stream, enabling high-precision cuts to be made in metals of various textures and thicknesses up to 25 mm. The ‘Standard’ series is powered by a 400V three-phase mains supply and combines high power with ease of use and small dimensions. Due to the increased frequency of the inverter, the unit has a lower weight and size compared to classic cut-off machines.
The cutter is lightweight and easy to set up thanks to its infinitely variable current control, which allows precise cutting without metal deformation, both for sheet metal and curved cuts. The machine is equipped with a protection system in case of insufficient air pressure and also a pneumatic system with two valves – for gentle arc ignition with reduced metal spatter and to extend the life of the plasma torch consumables.
Main features and advantages of the PATON StandardCUT-70 400V plasma cutter
Peak overload protection system – This system ensures that the machine is protected against damage caused by sudden and short-lived current overloads, resulting in the longevity and reliability of the cutter, even in harsh working conditions.
Inverter IGBT technology – Inverters with IGBT (Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor) technology guarantee the stability and precision of the machine while providing higher energy efficiency and lower power losses, resulting in better cutting efficiency.
Three-phase connection requiring no neutral wire – The cutter is designed to operate on a three-phase system without the need for a neutral wire, simplifying installation and reducing the risk of errors during set-up.
Forced cooling – The cutter is equipped with a forced cooling system, which ensures that heat is effectively dissipated from key components of the machine. This enables long-term operation without the risk of overheating, ensuring stability and reliability during intensive use.
Convenient and simple operation – The cutter has been designed with ease of use in mind – the intuitive control panel, ergonomic design and minimal maintenance required make operating the machine convenient and hassle-free.
50% duty cycle at 70A, 100% at 40A – A duty cycle of 50% at 70A and 100% at 40A means that the unit can run continuously for longer periods of time, which is important for intensive and lengthy cutting tasks, while ensuring high quality and efficient work.
Increased reliability of the machine in high dust conditions – The cutter has been optimised to operate in harsh conditions such as high concentrations of dust or dirt, which translates into longevity and reliability, minimising the risk of failure due to dirt.
Thermal protection on all hot components – The machine has built-in thermal protection mechanisms to prevent overheating in key parts such as transistors and transformer, increasing the safety and efficiency of the cutter.
Infinitely variable current control – With infinitely variable current control, the user has full control over the current, allowing the cutting parameters to be fine-tuned to suit different materials and thicknesses, ensuring better working results.
Dual-valve pneumatic system – The use of a dual-valve pneumatic system provides better control of the gas flow, which is important for the quality of the cut and the precision of the work, as well as reducing the risk of failures due to leaks.
