The SG3 G4Si1 PATON is a copper-coated, manganese-silicon electrode wire designed for MIG/MAG welding of low-carbon structural, boiler, shipbuilding steels, and fine-grain carbon-manganese steels under shielding gas.
The copper coating significantly improves electrical conductivity by reducing contact resistance, which ensures a stable arc, enhances weld quality, and reduces spatter. The wire can be used at high current for spray arc and low current for short-circuit metal transfer.
The wire is supplied on precision spools and works seamlessly with Ar/CO₂ mixtures or pure CO₂ shielding gas.
Key Features:
Excellent conductivity due to copper coating
Precision wound spool ensures uniform wire feed speed
Calibrated wire diameter along the entire length
Low spatter formation
Made from high-quality raw materials
Ideal for machine construction, shipbuilding, and general construction welding
High welding performance
Minimal impurities harmful to weld quality
Suitable for low-alloy and low-carbon steels of various thicknesses and weld geometries
Technical Specifications:
Copper coating thickness: ≥ 0.10 μm
Total copper content: ≤ 0.35%
Spool sizes: D200
