Research & Development
Since the early 2000s, the welding equipment plant has established in-house laboratories to enhance research and development and improve inverter welding machine production technologies. Today, its design potential continues to expand each year:
- new positions are regularly created to recruit top graduates of NTUU “KPI” across various departments;
- the company consistently invests in the development and maintenance of infrastructure for designing cutting-edge equipment models.
The design and technological laboratories of the PATON plant fully develop all components and welding current sources — from housing design to proprietary electronic circuit and software solutions. Development is carried out for the following welding processes:
- manual arc welding (MMA);
- argon arc welding (TIG);
- semi-automatic welding (MIG / MAG);
- air-plasma cutting (CUT).
The laboratories are equipped with modern high-precision measuring and calibration equipment, used to fine-tune inverter welding machines operating at currents up to 1200 amps.
In the electrode workshop laboratory, in addition to routine quality control of incoming raw materials and finished product batches, new welding material formulations are also developed.
All PATON welding equipment and related materials are exclusively the result of in-house development and manufacturing. They are designed and manufactured entirely at our production facilities in Kyiv.
We use raw materials from top Ukrainian manufacturers (Odeskabel, KROK, etc.) and electronic components from leading international brands such as Vishay, NXP, Infineon, Kendeil, Toshiba, and Texas Instruments.
